You are in for a treat with our heated yoga classes here at The Open Mind Space in Broadmeadow.
Why would you want to practice yoga in a hot or heated room?
Well, there are so many benefits!
Our heated yoga classes are heated to approximately 28 degrees Celsius for the duration of the class and we have state-of-the-art FAR Infrared Heaters in use in our studio.
So, that’s all well and good, but what does it all mean?
Infrared heaters work a little differently to a conventional heater. The main difference is that these heaters are used to heat an object, rather than a space. So, while you’ll definitely notice that the room itself becomes warmer, this is because of the heat being generated from your body. You’re like a mini sun, shining bright, radiating and warming everything around you. This is an important distinction to conventional space heaters, because the air itself does stay dry and cooler – think less humidity.
The benefits of our hot yoga classes
The heat emitted is absorbed deeply into your body, providing a therapeutic and detoxifying effect that helps strengthen the immune system and eliminate toxins, such as pollutants, heavy metals, and other nasty substances.
Infrared-heated yoga classes have many other health benefits such as increased circulation, weight loss, amplified detoxification, muscle and joint relaxation and stress reduction.
Plus, in another win for Infrared heaters, they use less electricity, and we are all about reducing our footprint on the environment.
The main thing to remember when you’re thinking about trying a hot yoga class at the Open Mind Space Newcastle is this: not all hot yoga is created equal. Come along and try the very best in heated yoga and experience all of the benefits that go along with the practice of yoga and meditation.
